SAMBA, Dec 13: Samba police have registered a FIR against five people including BDC Chairman, Ramgarh, Darshan Lal Chaudhary and his son, Shubham Chaudhary in the case of assault in village Khaur Salaria of Ramgarh in the district.
The police have also filed a case against the husband and wife duo of the opposite party. The incident took place yesterday when the BDC Chairman had come to resolve the land dispute between two families. While resolving the matter, an argument started between the two parties and heated exchanges took place which resulted in attack on each other.
A woman Shoba Devi suffered serious injuries in the fight and is undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. Taking cognizance of the matter, the police have registered a case against BDC Chairman, Darshan Lal Chaudhary, his son Shubham Chaudhary, Tilak Raj, Surinder Singh and Yograj.
The police have also registered a case against Shobha Devi and her husband Sunder Dass on the complaint of BDC Chairman, Darshan Lal Choudhary and has started further investigation in the matter. However, no arrest has been made so far.
