JAMMU, Dec 14: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra — a nationwide campaign to spread awareness and ensure saturation of various flagship schemes of the Government, today traversed through several more Panchayats across jammu and Kashmir, making a lasting impact on the lives of the people of the Union Territory.
Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Bhupinder Kumar, today visited Panchayat Chak Dulma in Rajpura block of Samba district as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. District Development Council (DDC) members, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), and locals of the area were present on the occasion. Bhupinder inspected the stalls set up by various departments to showcase their achievements and services. He also interacted with the beneficiaries and scheme implementers and appreciated their efforts.
A documentary screening of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was also held to educate the citizens about the various flagship schemes and their benefits. Besides, quiz on the schemes was conducted, and the winners were felicitated with certificates. Dr Davinder Kumar Manyal (ex-minister), DDC Rajpura Asha Rani, BDC Chairman Radhe Krishan Sharma, ADDC Samba Rajinder Singh among others were present on the occasion.
Commissioner Secretary Floriculture, Gardens and Parks, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, today visited Kulgam where he participated in ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Devsar. DC Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat, ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran and other officers/officials of line departments also attended the programme. The Commissioner Secretary inspected stalls set up by various departments to educate the people about their schemes and programmes. He interacted with locals besides taking feedback from beneficiaries about implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in the area.
The Yatra continued its spirited journey, encompassing 13 additional Panchayats on its 19th day in district Udhampur. Under the guidance of DC Udhampur Saloni Rai, the IEC Vans received an exuberant reception from PRIs, senior citizens, youth, and local residents upon their arrival in Panchayats Khoon, Palnoo Birnoo, Kanah, Neeli Nallah, Jib-B, Sambal, Jakher, Barolla, Blandh, Amroh, Challyar and Basht.
Commissioner Secretary, General Administrative Department, Sanjeev Verma, visited Panchayat Jib-B and presided over a mega event organized under VBSY besides chairing a public outreach programme aimed at saturating all Government schemes and enhancing awareness among the local population. During the event, Commissioner Secretary distributed bicycles, baby kits under BBBP, sports kits, solar dryers, KCC, soil health cards, land passbooks, Abhinandan Patra, and Sehat cards under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme among the beneficiaries.
The transformative journey of VBSY successfully entered its 20th day in Anantnag district, marking a significant milestone in its mission to reach every corner of the Nation. The Yatra has covered 184 panchayats to date, making a lasting impact on the lives of the people in the region. The Yatra has transcended traditional outreach efforts becoming a beacon of change that ensures no individual is left untouched by its influence. The Yatra continues to inspire and empower, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the people it touches.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra left an indelible mark on Pulwama district, successfully traversing across Panchayats in the district. Today’s program unfolded with grandeur across six panchayats in three blocks, transcending geographical confines and spearheading a new era of holistic development. VBSY, a visionary expedition dedicated to the principle of leaving no one behind, has triumphantly achieved the saturation of various Government schemes throughout the district. At the heart of VBSY was the collective oath-taking ceremony, where people from all walks of life pledged their commitment to the transformative ideals encapsulated by the Yatra.
In the Kathua District, the Yatra was today marked by an enthusiastic gathering at Sailag, Bikhar, Bhoond, Jhanu Panchayats in block Bhoond; Hardo Muthi, Hamirpur, Dhamal and Amala Panchayats in block Barnoti. Numerous community leaders, government officials, and individuals passionate about development actively participated in the event. A series of engaging sessions were organized through IEC Van, focusing on different aspects of growth and development. These sessions included discussions on rural entrepreneurship, women empowerment, skill development, and health and sanitation.
As a part of ongoing VBSY, a series of awareness camps were held at multiple locations across district Doda with the aim to empower people through information, communication and education. The initiative, spanning across the blocks such as Doda, Khellani, Bhaderwah, Gundna, and Jakyas, raised awareness about Government initiatives for the holistic development of the region. The Yatra left an indelible mark on numerous panchayats, including Sarsi Saras, Rotipaderna, Dhara, Thuba, Dongroo, Saddar, Jatheli, and Tilogra, where residents displayed overwhelming enthusiasm and passion.
In Ramban district, the Yatra today visited three Panchayats of block Batote and Gandhari to sensitize the people about Government initiatives towards economic growth and emancipation of underserved sections. IEC Van was accorded a rousing welcome by PRIs, senior citizens, youth, and local residents on its arrival in three Panchayats. The Yatra campaign witnessed enthusiastic and vibrant participation of all stakeholders in Panchayat Sanasar of Batote, besides Kanga and Tanger of Gandhari panchayat. BDO, Batote, Kavita Bandhral, BDO, Gandhari, Amit Singh and other officers participated in the Yatra in these panchayats.
The VBSY van reached a significant milestone today as it rolled into 6 Panchayats Gran Brotrian, Bharnsal, Dugga, Panassa, Banna -B, Narakote of Reasi district. The occasion was marked by a vibrant celebration of sports and culture, featuring engaging programs that brought together communities in a spirit of unity and enthusiasm. As part of the festivities, beneficiaries of various government-sponsored schemes took the stage to express their views on the transformative impact these initiatives have had on their lives. Their testimonials provided powerful insights into the real-world benefits experienced by individuals across the district.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra culminated its final leg in the urban area of Kishtwar today under the overall guidance of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav. The Yatra, which traversed through the main town and culminated at Chowgan Ground, witnessed an impressive turnout of enthusiastic citizens CEO Municipal Council Kishtwar, Ninad Sen, elucidated the Yatra’s objectives and aspirations at these venues. In rural areas, the Yatra today traversed through 6 more Panchayats viz. Drubeel & Loidhar-B Panchayats of Mughal Maidan Block; Hidyal & Lachadayaram-A Panchayats of Kishtwar Block and Bhattan Dimji & Bhagna-B Panchayats of Block Nagseni.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is gaining momentum in Rajouri, driving the implementation of various Government schemes and bringing about comprehensive development in the district. To effectively communicate and create awareness about these initiatives, an IEC van has been deployed as an essential part of the Yatra. Today, the VBSY IEC vans traveled through the panchayats of Sankari, Kotedhera, Bari Darhal-A, Bari Darhal-B, Dodasan Upper, Saaj-1, Khablan-A, Baryoon Dara of Rajouri, Darhal, Plangarh, and Thanamandi blocks.
The VBSY campaign expanded its reach to 20 more Panchayats today in Sub Division Uri of Baramulla district. Several activities were carried out in 20 Panchayats including Bela, Banali, Dachi, Uroosa and Shadra. IEC vans, featuring LED displays, traversed through these Panchayats, effectively disseminating information about various beneficiary schemes to the public. Representatives from various Government departments raised awareness about welfare schemes among people by showcasing products at stalls erected at the venues of the VBSY. During the event, the beneficiaries of different schemes shared their success stories under the banner of ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’.
The Yatra has covered 263 Panchayats of the frontier Kupwara district and today 9 Panchayats including Warsun A, Warsun B of Block Kralpora, 7 Panchayats of Block Trehgam including Gugloosa A, Gugloosa B, Hayan A, Hayan B, Kunan, Poshpora A and Poshpora B were covered under VBSY. Gram Panchayats of Trehgam and Kralpora blocks where VBSY was organized today presented a festive look with huge crowds thronging the venues for instant enrollment in Government Schemes. From Free Medical Checkups to Zero-Balance Bank Accounts, Aadhar Updates and ABHA IDs, beneficiaries of all ages took Instant Benefits.
In Jammu district, the VBSY today reached Panchayat Naryana Upper and Kaleeth of Block Khour, Panchayat Bansultan in Block Miran Sahib and Panchayats Aithem and Chilla in Nagrota Block. All line departments joined the Yatra, offering on-the-spot services and fostering meaningful interactions. Local residents, brimming with enthusiasm, flocked departmental camps, engaging with officials and learning about the Government’s initiatives aimed at holistic development. Free health checkups under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana were conducted. Besides, certificates of appreciation were awarded to progressive farmers for their contribution to agriculture. Additionally, deserving applicants received on-the-spot sanction letters for old age, widow and disability pensions.
