Two injured in land dispute; accused arrested, weapons seized

JAMMU, Dec 14: Two persons sustained injuries after they were attacked with a rifle, pistol, and a sharp-edged weapon over a land dispute in Rakh Flora village of RS Pura area in Jammu District today.
Suresh Kumar son of late Jagidsh Raj of Flore, Suchetgarh and Vijay Kumar son of Krishan Lal of Rangpur Sidhrey, Suchetgarh, were attacked with a 12 bore gun, pistol, and a sharp-edged weapon (toka) by three people around 2:30 Pm today, resulting in injuries to the duo.
While the injured have been hospitalised, police have booked the accused in case FIR number 182/2023 Under Sections 307, 323, 34 of the IPC and 3/25 and 4/25 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station RS Pura.
Two of them (accused), identified as Tarsem Lal and Onkar Singh of Sattowali, Tehsil Suchetgarh, Jammu have been arrested while the third accused, Raman Singh, is at large after the commissioning of the crime.
Police have also seized the weapons used in the crime and started further investigation.
