RAMBAN, Dec 15: Police here today solved a theft case and recovered stolen Rs. 3 lakh and arrested the thief.
As per the case on Wednesday a complaint was received at Police Station Ramban from one Romesh Kumar, son of Dhani Ram, resident of Ward number 4, Upper Bazar, Ramban that during on the night of December 11, 2023 some unknown person stole cash worth lakhs from his shop, located at main market Ramban.
A case in FIR number 347/2023, U/S 380/457 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and a special team was constituted by SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma to recover the stolen money.
During investigation, police rounded up several suspects and finally arrested Bindesh Kumar, son of Suram Chand, resident of Sencha, Ramban.
After sustained questioning the suspect confessed his involvement in the theft after which the recovery of Rs. 3 lakh (approximately) was made from his house.
The arrest and recovery were made by a police team of Police Station Ramban under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban.
