Scientific survey of Shahi Idgah Complex at Mathura

JAMMU, Dec 16: Apex Court of the country has refused to stay the order dated December 14 of the Allahabad High Court approving scientific survey of Shahi Idgah Complex at Mathura.
The matter relating to Krishna Janambhumi land dispute was listed today along with fresh petition filed by Sunni Wakf Board, which challenged the order dated 14.12.2023 vide which the Allahabad High Court approved the conduct of the scientific survey on the Shahi Idgah complex at Mathura and for which Court Commissioner is being appointed.
The Apex Court refused to stay the order dated 14.12.2023 approving survey of the Shahi Idgah on the disputed land. The Apex Court fixed the matter for hearing on 9th of January 2024.
The Allahabad High Court while hearing all the original suits pending before it regarding dispute with regard to ownership of land at Mathura approved the scientific survey and appointed Court Commissioner on the application filed by the original plaintiffs.
The modalities of the Commission of the advocates for survey to be done would be decided on 18th December by the Allahabad HC. Earlier bunch of suits were filed at Mathura seeking removal of mosque built at Shahi Idgah complex and claiming that 13.37 acres of land belong to Bhagwan Krishna temple. Over a dozen of petitions are pending in High Court pertaining to this.
Original plaintiff in Suit No. 423/2023 was represented through Nar Hari Singh, Advocate on Record along with Advocate Vasudev Swain.
