JAMMU, Dec 16: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a comprehensive campaign aimed at providing benefits of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes to people at their door steps, continued to make impact across different Panchayats of Jammu and Kashmir today.
In Budgam District, the campaign made significant strides, covering all the 296 Panchayats.
As per a statement, Rajya Sabha Member Parliament (MP), Ghulam Ali Khatana, and Advisor (COST), Ministry of Family Welfare, GoI, Rajiv Wadhawan, participated in the concluding program at Panchayat Halqa Sholipora in the District.

On the occasion, MP Rajya Sabha visited stalls established by various departments to showcase their products and for awareness generation regarding Government schemes and public welfare initiatives.
He also participated in Sankalp pledge ceremony while the Prime Minister’s message on the Yatra’s objectives was conveyed, fostering a deep understanding among the participants.
The MP said that Sankalp IEC vans played a major role in generating awareness of centrally sponsored schemes among the public at their doorsteps.
In Ganderbal District, Advisor Rajiv Wadhawan, emphasized public outreach and assessed the implementation of healthcare initiatives as part of the campaign.
The event witnessed valuable interactions providing insights into the impact of Government programmes at the grassroots level.
Secretary Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction Department, Nazim Zai Khan, attended a public darbar under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Balakote area of Dhargloon Block in Rajouri District. Stalls set up by various Government departments showcased schemes related to agriculture, health, social welfare, and more, reinforcing the commitment to the development.
Pulwama District witnessed an enthusiastic celebration at Panchayat Halqa Tahab, presided over by Commissioner Secretary, Floriculture, Parks, and Gardens, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad.
The event included the inspection of stalls, a tug of war among students, and a recorded message from the Prime Minister, aligning with the principles of the VBSY.
In Jammu District, the yatra made significant strides in Khour and Miran Sahib blocks today.
SDM Khour, Anil Kumar Thakur and Tehsildar Monika Sharma spearheaded the Yatra in Municipal Committee Khour. The departments erected stalls, distributed pamphlets and posters, showcased exhibits and emphasised the significance of Government schemes such as PMAY (U), Ayushman Bharat Yojana Card and Har Ghar Jal.
Cultural programs by students conveyed themes of National Integration and responsible social media usage.
Simultaneously, in Panchayat Bhow and Khour of Block Miran Sahib, a warm welcome greeted the VBSY Van, which showcased a video message from PM Modi, urging citizens to pledge for the country’s progress. Vidya Motan, DDC member Miran Sahib and PRI representatives joined in the welcoming committee.
Kathua District saw the VBSY making strides in Kishenpur, Billawar, Hattar, and Hamirpur, with community leaders and Government officials actively participating, highlighting the dedication to grassroots development.
In District Doda, the VBSY left an enduring impression in Tantna and Gundna Panchayats, focusing on effective government initiatives. Certificates of appreciation were presented to students during the celebration.
Reasi District witnessed the VBSY visiting Marhi B, Neoch, Chinkah, Khanikot, and Hassote Panchayats, showcasing local talent and fostering community engagement. The campaign unfolded with vibrant programs resonating with the local community.
Udhampur District experienced dynamic activities across 12 pivotal Panchayats, reflecting vibrant participation and a commitment to progress. Engagements in Kosar, Mantalai, Tirshi, and other locations demonstrated a collective dedication to the comprehensive implementation of government schemes.
The campaign extended its reach to Srinagar Municipal Corporation, emphasizing the significance of education and community involvement in the development process. Residents in Khanyar, Nai Sadak, Zaina Kadal, and Makhdoom Sahib actively participated, taking the Viksit Sankalp Bharat pledge.
Urban Anantnag witnessed the VBSY launch at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Ranibagh, fostering engaging discussions and laying the groundwork for future initiatives. The event emphasized education and community involvement in the development process.
In Bandipora, the VBSY continued across Purushai and Sadunara gram panchayats, involving health camps, Sankalp pledges, and on-the-spot services, enhancing public knowledge of government programs.
Kupwara saw events and programs in Kalaroos, Kalroos A, Kanipora, and other Panchayats, with officials and representatives from various departments actively participating in the campaign.
The VBSY journeyed through Sangaldan in Ramban, covering four Panchayats and sensitizing people about centrally sponsored schemes. The campaign gained momentum, with people from all walks of life participating in activities organized to saturate the benefits of government schemes.
The campaign’s presence was strongly felt in Bhata and Sigdi A Panchayats in Mughal Maidan Block of Kishtwar District, with vibrant participation from about 500 locals. SDM Chatroo Shokat Hayat Matoo, Tehsildar Mughalmaidan Nayeem Sheikh, and other officials engaged with the public, reinforcing the community’s interest and involvement.
