JAMMU, Dec 16: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and former MLA, Ashwani Sharma today said that his party works for the welfare of every person, irrespective of caste, creed or sex, region, religion or political affiliation.
Listening to the public grievances at party Headquarters here, today he said that the BJP guarantees to provide social and economic justice, equality of opportunity and liberty of faith and expression to all.
Ashwani Sharma, accompanied by BJP Health & Medical Cell convenor, Puneet Mahajan, listened the problems of a large number of people.
Ashwani said that BJP, itself takes initiative to reach the common and the needy to know their issues and help them by sorting out their issues. He said that by holding the Public Darbar at the party Headquarter, BJP has remained steadfast in its commitment to serve the society, while stressing that the needy people from all walks of life, irrespective of their faiths or affiliations, approach the party from every corner of Jammu & Kashmir.
Deputations and individuals from Gajansoo Marh, Raipur Domana, Jourian, Bishnah, Phallain Mandal, Shiv Nagar, Wazir Lane, Shastri Nagar, Poonch, Shopian, Talab Tillo and other areas had reached BJP office with their issues.
The deputation presented issues like enhancement of pension and implementation of reservation quota for specially-abled category persons, construction of road near Phallain Mandal, Waziro Chak, Bishnah and Nakkar Kot Poonch, revenue related, PDD, RTO office, State Health Agency etc.
Puneet Mahajan, who steered the darbar proceedings, shared that while some persons and deputations approached with their personal issues, majority of them presented issues of general interest and the development related problems.
