RAJOURI, Dec 17: An attempt to steal cash from ATM has been foiled by the alert CRPF jawans in Darhal area of Rajouri district last night.
Official sources said the alert policemen nabbed one person namely, Altaf Ahmed, son of Mohd Sharif, resident of Pargal village in Darhal while he was attempting to tamper with an ATM kiosk for taking out currency notes from the cash tray.
However, the accused was caught by the CRPF jawans on duty in a swift action. He was arrested and handed over to police team led by SHO Darhal Inspector Ashiq Hussain.
A case under FIR Number 112/ 2023 was registered in Police Station Darhal in this connection.
