Deodar logs seized from Dudu forest area

UDHAMPUR, Dec 17: Forest Protection Force seized 47 Deodar logs besides confiscating one mechanical cutter in Dudu area of Udhampur forest Davison.
Acting on the receipt of specific information, the party of Forest Protection Force, Gamma Unit J-5, Udhampur, seized 45 number of Deodar logs measuring 45 cft and 2 logs of Deodar measuring 30.98 Cft (total 75.98 cft) in Compartment number 10/D, beat Kathal, Block Bandhole and Range Dudu.
The confiscation was made as per the provision of Section 52 of Indian Forest Act 1927 by the team comprising of Kartar Chand (Dy Inspector), Rakesh Kumar (FPF Guard), Romesh Singh (S) (FPF Guard), and Rahoul Thakur (FPF Watcher).
The operation was supervised by Sudesh Kumar, Assistant Director, under the overall supervision of Hitashi Sharma, Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force, Udhampur.
