JAMMU, Dec 18: R K Wattal, former District & Sessions Judge has been appointed as Presiding Officer (PO) for Food Safety & Appellate Tribunal (FSAT) Jammu and Shujat Ali Khan as PO for FSAT Kashmir.
As per Notification vide SO 616 dated 15/12/2023 issued by Jammu and Kashmir Government, Wattal and Khan have been appointed for a period of 5 years or till 65 years of their age, whichever is earlier.
During his service, Wattal served as Munsiff and Sub Judge/CJM at different stations in Jammu and Ladakh provinces, 1st Additional District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar/Baramulla, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kargil/Reasi/ Samba/ Udhampur/Jammu, as Judicial Member, J&K Special Tribunal, Jammu, Presiding Officer, J&K Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal, Registrar Vigilance, High Court of J&K and as Special Judge Ant-Corruption CBI Jammu.
