‘Shaheedi Divas’ of Guru Teg Bahadur observed

JAMMU, Dec 18: The 348th ‘Shaheedi Divas’ of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib was observed with religious fervour at Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Sector 14, Nanak Nagar Jammu the other day.
The programme in this connection was organized by Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, under the direct supervision of Mahant Manjeet Singh, head priest of Dera Nangali Sahib, Poonch. A large number of devotees participated in the programme to seek blessings of the great Guru who sacrificed his life for the religion and humanity.
Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, Hazoori Ragi Jatha Darbar Sahib, Amritsar and Ragi Jathas Bhai Dharamveer Singh, Bhai Ranjeet Singh (UP Wale), Bhai Jasvinder Singh and Istri Satsang Jatha recited Gurvani Path and Kirtan on the occasion.
A one-day cardiac awareness-cum-free check up camp was also organized by Dr Sushil Sharma, Head of Cardiology Department of GMC Jammu along with his entire team. The camp was inaugurated by Mahant Manjeet Singh.
Mahant Manjeet Singh while speaking on the occasion highlighted the contributions and sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib towards the humanity.
Dr Jaswant Singh, Sarwan Singh, Sevak and Shaheen Wani, SP South spoke on the occasion.
Dr Surjit Singh Raina, general secretary on behalf of Gurdwara Committee extended gratitude to Mahant Manjeet Singh, Dr Sushil Sharma and other dignitaries for making this programme a grand success.
