RAJOURI, Dec 18: The people from Ward No. 7 of Rajouri town today held strong protest demonstration against the Electricity Department and the district administration.
A large number of people assembled in their locality and held protest against the PDD authorities for imposing massive power cuts. They said that power cuts should be stopped, otherwise, people will be forced to start a massive agitation. They pointed out that public is paying hefty power bills but the supply position is very grim.
They accused the Electricity Department of sending regular electricity bills. They demanded that a fixed schedule should be chalked out and the curtailment should be contained.
They said due to unscheduled power cuts precious time of school and college students get wasted and other businessmen also facing many hardships due to electricity failure. They warned that if unscheduled power cuts are not stopped, they will block road and lodge strong protest.
