RAJOURI, Dec 18: The police nabbed an absconder who was wanted in a case in Nowshera area but was evading his arrest since 2018.
He has been identified as Ilyas Ahmed, son of Shoket Ali, a resident of Draba, in Tehsil Surankot of district Poonch. The police team from Nowshera led by SHO zeroed in on the accused at NH in Nowshera area on the basis of a human intelligence.
The accused was evading his arrest since long in case FIR No.45/2015 U/S 279/337/338 RPC of PS Nowshera and a general warrant U/s 299 CrPC was issued against him by the Court of JMIC Nowshera. After apprehension, the arrested accused person was further produced before in Court.
