Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra leaves mark across Jammu & Kashmir

JAMMU, Dec 19: The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) aimed at creating awareness about various Centrally Sponsored Schemes has been leaving an indelible mark across different Panchayats of Jammu and Kashmir.
As part of the yatra, the Transport Commissioner, Rahul Sharma, today attended an event at Dharam in Ramban District. The Yatra in the town covered 116 panchayats, encouraging public engagement in developmental initiatives.
Commissioner Secretary Rahul Sharma and senior officers inspected stalls showcasing diverse efforts to improve lives.
In Kathua District, DDC Chairman Mahan Singh led an awareness camp during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Panchayat Plahi in Basohli, emphasizing a collective commitment to holistic rural development. The event marked a significant milestone in the pursuit of comprehensive progress.
The Yatra visited the Panchayats of Darhal, Thanamandi, and Manjakote blocks of the Border District Rajouri, spearheading the implementation of Government schemes and fostering development.
At Ward Vijaypur in Samba District, DDC Chairman Keshav Dutt Sharma and senior political leader Ravinder Raina created awareness and ensured saturation of Government schemes, aligning with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign made a significant impact across four wards of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, advancing the goal of achieving full coverage of National Flagship schemes/Programs.
A mega event at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Bandipora saw students leading the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, gaining significant momentum and capturing the attention and support of residents.
Under the banner of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), IEC campaigns were held in six wards of Municipal Committee Yaripora in District Kulgam, with Additional District Development Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Rather participating in the Yatra.
The Yatra triumphantly traversed the entirety of Pulwama, leaving an indelible mark of progress and awareness, acquainting the populace with various Government schemes.
In Anantnag, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra painted a vivid tapestry of Bharat’s progress, becoming a captivating spectacle and a collective commitment to forging a developed, empowered, and self-reliant India.
The transformative initiative continued in the frontier Kupwara District, covering 331 Panchayats to date, with massive public participation.
In continuation of Prime Minister’s vision, “Ideas for the Vision- Viksit Bharat@2047- Voice of Youth,” a program was organized by SKUAST-Jammu, under the leadership of Prof B N Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor, highlighting the role of Agriculture and Rural Development in the vision for a developed India by 2047.
During the programme, Prof Anil Kumar, Dean Faculty of Agriculture informed that substantial progress has been made, especially in the agricultural sector, aligning with the vision for Viksit Bharat@2047. Other faculty members also spoke on the occasion.
