JAMMU, Dec 19: For the smooth functioning of the organisation, Jammu Kashmir Dairy Farmers Association (JKDFA) constituted its Advisory board, frames new Core Committee, Executive Body and district body here today.
The announcement in this regard was made by newly elected JKDFA, President, Sandeep Singh Chib while addressing a press conference.
Addressing to the media persons, Chib said that the future road map of the association for the benefits of its activities and members has also been prepared by the association.
Chib also produced the vision document of JKDFA and said that he will put his efforts for small farmers to take them to large farmers and added that in couple of months he will form rest of the district bodies also.
Accordingly, it was announced that in the month of Feb 2024 a Pashu-Mela for the first time in Jammu will be organized by the association where the dairy farmers of the JK UT will be free to trade the milk yielding animals at Jammu only.
Earlier the dairy farmers of the UT had to go to the neighbouring states to buy such animals under the guidance of Chairman JKDFA Jeet Ram Choudhary.
Among others who were present during the conference included Sr.VP Sukhdev Singh, Satpal Choudhary, VP Keher Singh, VP Sohail Ahmed, Sunil Sharma, Naresh Bittu Gen Sec,Dilip Singh Chib Organizing Secretary, Balwinder Joint Secretary, Davinder Singh Publicity Secretary, Jasvinder Singh Secretary, Kashmir Singh Treasurer, Retd Inspector Ajay Singh Legal Head, Inderjeet Singh Slathia President Jammu Province, Dr.Shahid Singh President Kashmir Province, Capt Daler Singh Advisory Board Member, Capt.Rajinder Singh, DDC Chairman Darshan Choudhary and Sarpanch Balbir Singh.
