Book titled ‘Safar Jaari Hai’ released

JAMMU, Dec 19: A book based on collection of Urdu poetry, ‘Safar Jaari Hai’ was released here today.
In this regard a function was organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL). The function was held under the guidance of Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretary JKAACL.
The book is written by renowned Urdu writer Pritpal Singh Betab.
At the outset, Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretary (JKAACL), gave a heartfelt cordial welcome to everyone especially Pritpal Singh Betab.
While addressing the audience, he expressed that authors are the face of society.
“They (authors) represent the inner thoughts of the social fabric through their ink, and it is indeed a special skill,” mentions the Secretary.
Ashok Angurana, Retd. IAS was the Chief Guest on the occasion, Prof. Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha presided over the function while Dr. Shahnaz Qadri, HoD Urdu, M.A.M College was the Guest of honour.
The book release was followed by live performance of the poetry of Pritpal Singh Betab by Aditya Langeh, Subash Langeh and Neelam Langeh, renowned singers of the State.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor cum Cultural officer, Gojri conducted the proceedings and presented the Vote of Thanks.
