JAMMU, Dec 20: Empyrean Skyview Projects, a division of FIL Industries Private Limited, has clinched the prestigious “Pathfinder Award for Adventure Infrastructure Innovation” at the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India’s (ATOAI) 15th Annual Convention held in Gujarat.
As per a statement, Upen Anand, General Manager of Skyview by Empyrean, received the award on behalf of Empyrean Skyview Projects on December 17, 2023.
Themed “Indian Adventure Travel: Exploring New Frontiers,” the convention acknowledged Empyrean Skyview Projects for its remarkable efforts in establishing India as a global epicentre for adventure tourism.
The awarded project, Skyview by Empyrean, situated in Sanget – Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir, spans 22 acres and seamlessly integrates premium hospitality, adventure, nature, and luxury.
Notable features include India’s highest gondola-the Skyview Gondola, known as the green gondola, reducing travel time between Sanget valley and Patnitop to a mere 10 minutes. The property boasts a 162-meter magic carpet ride, a 238-meter all-season tubing sledge, Asia’s longest zig-zag zip-line spanning 580 meters, as well as mountain biking, hiking trails, birding, camping, archery, and ATVs.
Syed Junaid Altaf, Group Executive Director, FIL Industries Private Limited, expressed delight at receiving the award, emphasizing their commitment to building a sustainable ecosystem around projects, considering local communities, the environment, and the economy.
He stated, “through innovation and by putting in place the highest standards with our local and global partners, we hope to lead by example in setting up adventure infrastructure across our projects that will make India the hub of global adventure tourism.”
Empyrean Skyview Projects is not only focused on its current success but also has ambitious upcoming projects, including the construction of the Dehradun-Mussoorie ropeway using Mono-cable Detachable Gondola Technology. This ropeway, set to be India’s longest passenger aerial mono-cable ropeway by September 2026, will connect the twin cities in just 20 minutes.
Skyview By Empyrean is also a certified member of the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI), aligning with sustainability parameters set by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. This recognition highlights the company’s commitment to promoting socio-economic, cultural, and environmental sustainability.
