LUDHIANA, Dec 20: Wool and Woollen Products Export Promotion Council (WWEPC) organized a road show for Bharat Tex 2024, here, today.
The event, supported by TEXPROCIL, AEPC, and PDEXCIL, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 175 textile exporters from Ludhiana, Amritsar and Panipat.
The Road show was graced by Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, along with P K Meena, Deputy Secretary, MoT, Surabhi Malik, DC, Ludhiana, Gautam Jain, ADC, Ludhiana and Rakesh Kansal, GM, DIC, Ludhiana. Prominent personalities from the textile industry, including Rakesh Mehra, Chairman, CITI, Ujwal Lahoti (Past Chairman, TEXPROCIL), Dr. Siddhartha Rajgopal (ED, TEXPROCIL), Vishwanath Agarwal (Chairman, PDEXCIL), Mahesh N Sanil, ED, PDEXCIL, and Harish Dua (Member, AEPC) were also present. WWEPC was represented by its senior leadership, including Chairman, Romesh Khajuria, Vice Chairman, Sumir Dhir, Suresh Thakur, and AED Shri Sanjay Chawla.
The interactive session at the Road show generated considerable interest in Bharat Tex 2024. Participants actively engaged in discussions about the event’s potential to bring together leading stakeholders from across the global textile chain and unlock new business opportunities.
Rohit Kansal encouraged industry stakeholders to actively participate in Bharat Tex 2024 and leverage the supportive business environment. He expressed confidence that the event would serve as a catalyst for the Indian textile industry’s continued growth and competitiveness.
The welcome address was given by Romesh Khajuria, a comprehensive presentation on Bharat Tex by P K Meena, and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Siddhartha Rajgopal.
