SRINAGAR, Dec 20: In an effort to enhance fire safety awareness and preparedness, a specialized program combining fire safety awareness and fire extinguisher training was conducted today at Florence Hospital, Chanapora here.
The event, held under the supervision of Assistant Director Srinagar Command, Mir Aqib Hussain, was led by Noor Alam, in charge of the City Command, along with a team from the Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters. The team included officers from the Headquarters and SH Pora.
The officials said that the initiative is part of a series of awareness programs conducted under the dynamic directions of Alok Kumar, ADGP, the Director of Fire and Emergency Services, J&K.
“The training aimed to equip the staff at Florence Hospital with essential knowledge and skills related to fire safety and the effective use of fire extinguishers. The session was conducted with precision, ensuring active participation from the hospital staff,” Noor Alam said.
He expressed the importance of such programs in preventing and managing fire incidents, highlighting the proactive approach taken by the Fire and Emergency Services to ensure the safety of public spaces and institutions.
The program received positive feedback from participants, acknowledging the significance of being well-prepared in the face of potential fire hazards. Such initiatives contribute significantly to building a resilient and fire-safe community.
The officials further explained that these initiatives are part of a broader strategy to enhance the overall preparedness of institutions and individuals in dealing with fire emergencies.
