Cong to hold protests against suspension of 142 MPs today

JAMMU, Dec 21: As a part of nationwide protests, J&K Congress will organize mega protests at the state and district level tomorrow (December 22) for the suspension of MPs and the ruthless dismantling of our democratic values.
In this regard, a meeting of senior leaders of PCC, DCC presidents and Frontal wings of the party was held under the chairmanship of JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani here and attended by working president Raman Bhalla, senior vice presidents- Mula Ram,Th.Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma besides vice presidents Tarlok Singh Bajwa, Indu Pawar, Yash Pal Kundal; Th Balbir Singh, Vinod Sharma, Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma, Narinder Gupta, Suresh ogra, Gurmeet Singh, Narinder Sharma, Bhushan Dogra, Sanjeev Panda, Rajveer Singh, Th. Hoshyar Singh, Manjeet Singh Jatt, Ritu Chowdhary, Manmohan Singh, Shamsher Singh Chib, Subash Bhagat, Sanjeev Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma (INTUC), Vijay Sharma (Seva Dal) and others.
JKPCC chief said that in an unprecedented assault on democracy, the BJP government at the Centre has shockingly suspended 142 MPs from both houses of Parliament. This blatant act, described as a naked murder of democratic principles, has turned our parliament into a graveyard of democracy.
The meeting of India Alliance parties convened on Wednesday in New Delhi has resolutely decided to respond with strength and unity and called for mega protests across the nation on Friday (Dec 22) to vehemently oppose the suspension of 142 MPs and the egregious attack on our democratic foundation by the Modi Government. “Now, more than ever, we need to stand together against this affront to democracy. Our steadfast commitment to this cause is paramount.” Wani asserted.
He appealed to the party activists and others to attend the protests at PCC headquarters Jammu as well as at their respective District headquarters in strength.
