JAMMU, Dec 21: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee, led by its President Vinod Sharma and Chairman Saleem Sagar, called on Secretary School Education Alok Kumar in his office chamber at Civil Secretariat Jammu and raised the burning issues of teachers.
While interacting, Mr Sharma demanded provision of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme and deputation of designated officer from Administrative Department to attend Divisional Level Committee Meeting at DSEJ for approval of files of conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III so that their salary get released.
Vinod Sharma also demanded sanctioning of the posts of Headteachers into non plan posts of Masters for the smooth functioning of upgraded schools and filling up of posts of ZEOs/Headmasters in the headless Zones/ schools of the UT.
Principal Secretary School Education listened to the deputation quite patiently and assured to redress each and every issue at the earliest. He said that inter District mutual transfer cases will be cleared at the earliest.
Earlier the deputation also visited Directorate of School Education Jammu and met with Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma.
The deputation urged for conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III, regularisation of ReTs, clearance of mutual transfer cases Teachers Grade II/ III and issuance of DPC list of Teachers to Masters.
The Director informed that he is going to hold divisional level committee meeting on every Monday for clearance of conversion cases and soon the mutual transfer cases list will be issued.
Regarding DPC, he said that the Directorate is going to issue list of more than 1300 teachers before 5th of January 2024 as Masters instead of Incharge Masters after going through some queries.
The deputation comprised of Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Balwan Singh, Hari Lal Nag, Khazan Singh, Ashish Gandotra, Lal Singh and others.
