JAMMU, Dec 21: Police claimed today they have arrested a drug peddler from Sarwal area here and recovered from his possession 70 grams of heroin.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO concerned, and assisted by incharge Police Post Sarwal, rounded up on suspect.
On search of the suspect, he said, 70 grams of heroin was recovered.
Accordingly, the accused identified as Sunil Kumar of Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur, Punjab at present Jawahar Nagar, New Plot, Jammu was arrested and booked in case FIR number 182/2023 Under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, said the police spokesperson.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
