VBSY receives widespread acclaim across J&K

JAMMU, Dec 22: In a concerted effort to drive inclusive development and citizen welfare, the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) has received widespread acclaim across multiple districts in Jammu and Kashmir.
In Udhampur District, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, praised VBSY as a transformative movement during his active participation in Rathian West panchayat of the town.
He said the yatra aimed to empower citizens through awareness of welfare schemes, ensuring 100% saturation, and fostering ‘Jan Bhagidari.’
Bhatnagar highlighted transformative initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, such as JJM Har Ghar Jal, power distribution strengthening, NEP implementation in schools, HADP projects in agriculture, and advancements in the health sector, amplifying the development and economic prosperity of the UT.
Shama Chak Panchayat in Jammu District lauded the Government for VBSY, bringing free healthcare services and socio-economic empowerment schemes.
Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Home, RK Goyal, echoed Prime Minister Modi’s message of change.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya, ADC Sandeep Seointra, Assistant Commissioner Development, Preeti Sharma, besides PRI members and officials from various departments were present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Modi’s video message on the van resonated with all, urging citizens to become instruments of change.
Commissioner Secretary, Cooperatives, Yasha Mudgal, joined the Yatra in Aishmuqam, Anantnag, emphasizing the Government’s commitment to citizen welfare and the transformative impact of developmental initiatives.
As part of the ongoing yatra, Yasha Mudgal engaged with local residents, evaluating the progress of various Central Government Schemes in the area.
After concluding VBSY in 296 Panchayats of Budgam District, Commissioner Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Zubair Ahmad, presided over the launch in urban areas.

With locals overwhelmingly participating in the activities, the VBSY function witnessed an impressive gathering from all local wards and Panchayats of Town Chadoora.
As part of the yatra, Secretary in Power Development Department, Raman Kumar Kesar, today visited Gool block in Ramban District and engaged in various events besides interacting with locals and students.The Secretary chaired the main event at Kalimasta Panchayat under VBSY, where he shared Prime Minister’s vision behind the Yatra. “The aim is to enhance awareness among rural communities and facilitate the utilization of Government welfare schemes,” he said.
In Kathua District, Prabha Khurana shared a success story catalyzed by UMEED in the Meri Kahani Meri Zubani Segment of VBSY, showcasing the transformative impact on financial empowerment.
Prabha and her group were struggling to make ends meet and lacked the resources and support needed to assuage themselves from difficult circumstances.
They yearned for an opportunity that would enable them to break free from the cycle of poverty and dependency. Little did they know that their lives were about to transform with the intervention of the UMEED program.
VBSY made its impactful presence felt in five essential Panchayats in Reasi, disseminating information about key Government initiatives and engaging with the public to empower communities through awareness.
Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to community progress, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) extended VBSY to four additional wards, fostering community progress.
“Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” provided beneficiaries a platform to share success stories, bridging the gap between Government initiatives and the public.
VBSY reached a pivotal juncture in Pulwama, emphasizing inclusivity and bridging the gap between Government schemes and the public.
The event witnessed substantial participation, underscoring the Yatra’s commitment to inclusivity. Rooted in its principles of saturating Government schemes and fostering public awareness, VBSY has effectively bridged the gap between Government initiatives and the public.
VBSY traversed through different Panchayats of frontier Kupwara District, showcasing public participation despite challenging weather conditions. Despite cold weather conditions, an overwhelming public participation was witnessed at the venues of the yatra in the town.
VBSY IEC Van covered Panchayats in Sankari, Kotedhera, Nagrota Mehra, Nagrota Saldar, Badhoon, Kalalkass, and Dhangri blocks in Rajouri District, aiming to promote Government schemes and their implementation within a specific timeframe. The programme intended to provide benefits of these schemes to all the intended beneficiaries.
A Seminar under the banner of “Viksit Bharat@2047” was organized in the Department of Music, Government College for Women, Parade Ground Jammu as well. The event was inaugurated by the Principal of the College, Dr S P Sarswat. Students of the Music Department presented papers on different topics.
