DODA, Dec 22: A large number of devotees from different parts of Bhaderwah valley participated in ‘Akshat Kalash Yatra’.
Devotees, especially ladies, dressed in traditional colourful attire converged at ancient Hanuman temple located on a huge rock at village Nalthi to join the celebrations of Kalash Yatra.
Before taking out ‘Akshat Kalash Yatra’, the devotees offered prayers and took the blessings of Lord Hanuman and this was followed by the traditional Dekhu dance.
Several rituals were performed at ancient Hanuman temple in the presence of Prabhari VHP Chenab region, Satish Kotwal; president Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Virendra Razdan; PRI members of the area and a large number of devotees.
Before boarding the vehicles, a procession with 11 Kalashs (pots) was taken out amidst the singing of devotional songs and dancing on the traditional tunes from Nalthi to Sartingal village.
“After start from Bhaderwah-Khand, the procession will go to every nook and corner of all the three districts of Chenab region and then will head for Ayodhya for the idol consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple. The temple is set to be inaugurated by PM Modi on January 22,” said Satish Kotwal of VHP.
