Tribute paid to ex-MP Madan Lal Sharma

JAMMU, Dec 23: A program to commemorate the death anniversary of former MP Madan Lal Sharma on his third death anniversary.
People of Khour and Akhnoor remembered their beloved leader Madan Lal Sharma on his third death anniversary. A program was organised at khour in which hundreds of people from Khour and Akhnoor gathered and paid their heartfelt homage to their beloved leader Madan Lal Sharma. During the program people shared their sweet memories about their beloved leader.
Workers shared how Madan Lal Sharma opened the doors of development for the whole Jammu region and specially Khour and Akhnoor. The works like opening of colleges, construction of bridges, roads, tubewell etc. changed the maps of these areas.
Speaking on the occasion the speakers said that it was Madan Lal Sharma who raised voice in the Parliament to introduce Dogri language in the 8th schedule of the constitution which created employment opportunities for students of Dogri language and promoted Dogri on national platform, They also recognised his role in establishing migrant colonies for Kashmiri Pandits and people of border belt.
Speaking on the occasion Satish Sharma said that he is indebted by the love that he is receiving from people of Khour and Akhnoor. He said despite being out of power for a decade people have never stopped loving our family. He said that MP Sahab always used to tell him that the people of Khour have magical power, they supported a normal farmer and made him a member of Parliament.
Others who were present on the occasion included Kuldeep Raj Verma, BDC chairman Parveen Sharma, secretary JK PCC Manjeet Jatt, Prabhu Singh, Prem Singh, BD Sharma, Mohan Lal, Capt. Sham Singh and others.
