Implement Minimum Wages Act: Tarigami

Kathua, Dec 24: The Centre of India Trade Unions, (CITU) State Committee of J&K, State leader, CPI (M) senior leader and former MLA, Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami addressed a workers rally at Barnoti, near here, today and highlighted the grievances of labour class, farmers and poor people being faced by them in this regime of price hike. While addressing the media persons, Tarigami alleged that the poor person is facing number of problems and is not able to purchase anything from market when the price of essential commodities is touching sky.

He demanded the implementation of Minimum Wages Act in J&K, so that a laborers may get actual price if their hard work and run their livehood. He criticized the BJP for giving hollow slogans of Vikas and index of country going to high. But the index of rich people is high and poor person is fighting for daily needs.
He has also criticized the abrogation of Article 370 and said people lost their rights to protect their jobs and land on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh. Our neighbouring State Himachal Pradesh has right to protect their land and job. But in J&K adverse conditions are raised after abrogation of Article 370. The rights were given by our Maharaja Gulab Singh and Hari Singh were snatched from our lives.
He asked the laborers to be ready for fight to get justice from Government.
He said that we are in favour of whole sale development on country but not on the cost of wages of laborers.
