Ex-CPFWA deputation meets Azad, submits memorandum

JAMMU, Dec 24: A deputation of former Central Paramilitary Force Welfare Association (CPFWA) Jammu and Kashmir UT members, under the chairmanship of Harvinder Mahajan, Chief Advisor of ex- CPMF, today called on Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) chairman and former Chief Minister of J&K, Ghulam Nabi Azad in Jammu.
Interacting with Azad, Mahajan apprised him of the long pending issues of the Association. He also presented a memorandum to Ghulam Nabi Azad regarding various problems faced by the Ex Central Paramilitary Force employees.
He said Association demands that medical facilities must be enhanced from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 and One Rank-One Pension similar to Defense Forces must be accorded to them. They also projected other demands like CSD Canteen facilities instead of Central Police Canteen (CIC) at State / District level, Para Military Service Pay (PMSP) to Serving CPMF Personnel similar to MSP (Pensionable), 7th Pay Commission recommendation from 2.57 to 3.68, issuance of Pending 18th Months DA arrears, regularization of Old Pension from 2004 to onwards and extension all past retirement benefits on declaration of Ex-CAPF status similar to Defense force Ex-serviceman/ widows and dependents.
While addressing the deputation, Azad assured them that all their issues will be taken up at an appropriate level for the resolution. However, Azad said that once his party comes to power, no one will have any grievances since he is fully aware if public issues.
Other present in the deputation include Ashok Kumar Verma Chairman (CRPF), SK Sharma president (CPMF), Harbans Lal Sharma vice-president (CPMF), DK Chauhan general secretary (CPMF), Charan Singh Chaal president (GSP), Noor Mummed general secretary district Samba, Harvinder Kour, Gulam Nabi Shah Member (CPMF), Sajawal Shah president and Kirtan Singh, Chairman.
