BASOHLI, Dec 24: DDC Chairman Kathua, Col. Mahan Singh (retired) here today inaugurated a transformative Tourism Project worth Rs. 80 lakh in picturesque Purthu, often referred to as Mini Goa.
The project encompasses 600 meters long and six meters wide riverfront road, a high ground park near Jetty Point and construction of a crucial sanitary complex.
Accompanied by BDC Chairperson, Sushma Jamwal; ADC Basohli, Ajeet Singh; Tehsildar, Sagar Anand; Sarpanch, Poli Devi and locals, Mahan celebrated the realization of this much-anticipated tourism development initiative.
Implementation of the project falls under the purview of PWD (R&B) Division Basohli.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC Chairman acknowledged unwavering support of PM Modi led Government and the proactive efforts of LG administration in boosting tourism sector in the hilly region of Kathua District.
This project marks a significant addition to the scenic beauty of Purthu and is poised to elevate its status as prime tourist destination.
