Lecturers Forum suggests changes in Transfer Policy

JAMMU, Dec 25: All J&K +2 Lecturers Forum held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Pardeep Singh Rakwal and appealed the Principal Secretary Education Department, Alok Kumar to do away with Zonation System in the Transfer Policy.
In a statement, the Forum has also suggested for provision of five schools/ institutes as option for transfers and urged the Govt to decide the classification of areas into soft, hard and very hard zones on the basis of distance of a particular school/ institute from the home district headquarter of the transferees.
On regularisation, ACP, filling of all vacant posts and provision of well- equipped laboratories, the Forum advocated for the resolution of these issues without any further delay in the interest of justice delivery, the main focus being the regularisation and grant of ACP.
Besides Pardeep Singh Rakwal, the signatory to the press statement included RS Salathia, Chairman; Ghar Singh (Gen. Sec), Renu Lengeh (Vice President), Dr Ashok Sharma (Vice President) and others.
