JAMMU, Dec 25: Ahead of the inauguration of Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya on 24th January next year, a Ram Jhanki was taken out here today. The procession was taken out to celebrate Kalash Staphana.
Dozens of Devotees led by Narotam Sharma former councillor, JMC and BJP leaders participated in the Jhanki.
Speaking on the occasion, former councillor, Narotam informed that two Kalashs have been placed in old city one in Ram Ashram Peer Kho and another in Laxmi Narayan temple, Dhakki Sarajan.
He also appealed the local devotees to visit these two shrines and pay their obeisance to the Kalash.
Among others who graced the Ram Jhanki included Vidya Devi, Dhan Saroop Gupta, Sarooj Gupta, Suresh Gupta, Anuradha Sharma, Ramesh Sudan, Rattan Kumar, Sanjay Abrol, Sat Paul Raina and lucky Mehra.
