Samba police solves blind firing case, arrests 3 accused

SAMBA, Dec 27: Samba police has solved blind firing case of Behri Samba, arrested three accused and seized weapon of offence i.e.12 bore rifle and empty cartridge.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sukhdev Singh, son of Jamur Singh of Thalot tehsil and district Samba, Ashok Kumar, son of Rasalo Ram of Samlaha tehsil and district Samba and Romesh Chander, son of Chajju Ram of Samlaha tehsil and district Samba.
Police said on December 24 in the late evening one youth Balwan Singh, son of Ram Ditta of Behri tehsil and district Samba was fired upon by unknown persons at his fields in Behri village of district Samba and he sustained grievous splinter injuries in his leg and foot. He is presently undergoing treatment at Chandigarh. Police registered FIR No. 310/2023 U/S 307 IPC, 3/25 Arms Act at Police Station Samba and started investigation. Today police arrested three accused and seized weapon of offence and used empty cartridge.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that no case would remain unsolved in Samba district and all accused involved in criminal cases would be arrested under law.
