JAMMU, Dec 27: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit and NC have flayed the hike in toll tax at Chenani-Nashri Toll Plaza.
Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit has expressed resentment against the decision of authorities to double the toll charges from vehicles at Chenani-Nashri Toll Plaza.
In a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni urged the authorities to roll back the hike else Shiv Sena will start protests for the same.
He said while the public is demanding freedom from toll, the government is doubling the charges.
“Such decisions taken every day will further hit the pockets of the people already struggling with inflation and unemployment,” Sahni maintained adding: “After hike in power and water tariff, increase in license fee of shopkeepers and street vendors and after levying Property Tax, it is the hike in toll at Nashri Toll Plaza which has been doubled.”
