Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra resonates across J&K

JAMMU, Dec 28: The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), aimed at providing the benefits of various Centrally Sponsored schemes to all the prospective beneficiaries, resonated across all the Districts of Jammu and Kashmir today.
As part of the campaign, Rajya Sabha Member Parliament, Er Ghulam Ali Khatana spearheaded a mega event in Rajouri District. The event, held at Panchayat Saranoo of block Dhangri, featured Mobile Vans traversing the district on a predefined schedule.
These Mobile Vans, laden with Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, aimed to raise public awareness about a multitude of Central Government Schemes. Equipped with a sound system and a digital LED screen the vans showcased videos of Prime Minister’s addresses, testimonials from beneficiaries, and informative clips to enhance understanding.
Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, Santosh D Vaidya, visited Kishtwar District as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The event at Dool A Panchayat of Nagseni Block witnessed the participation of District officials, including District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav. The ongoing Yatra in Kishtwar showcased the District’s developmental progress, with beneficiaries sharing success stories during the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” session.

As part of the Yatra, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra proceedings included the inspection of departmental stalls displaying citizen-centric beneficiary schemes. Secretary Vaidya actively engaged with beneficiaries and scheme implementing agencies, lauding their efforts in the district’s development.
In Kupwara District, the long-awaited macadamization of inner roads in Bramri and the upgradation of Bramri Maidanpora receiving station after 15 years were celebrated at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event at Bramri Drugmulla. DDC Member Drugmulla, Amina Majeed, expressed gratitude to the J&K Government, highlighting the blessings these developments bring to the locals.
Secretary of Disaster Management, Relief & Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, Nazim Zai Khan, chaired the event during his extensive visit to Kupwara. The Yatra in Kupwara featured departmental stalls showcasing achievements and services, with Secretary Khan interacting with beneficiaries and appreciating their efforts.
Secretary of Hospitality and Protocol, Talat Parvez Rohella, presided over a public darbar cum grievance redressal camp in Bandipora District. The review encompassed the progress of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and the implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes.
Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, actively participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program in Udhampur District.
The program, held at Town Hall, Ramnagar, featured a public darbar where PRIs and the general public raised various issues and demands. These included pending payments, road repairs, and upgradation of educational institutions, reflecting the community’s aspirations.
During the event, Commissioner Secretary Singh addressed the concerns raised by PRIs and the public, emphasizing the Government’s commitment to addressing the needs of the citizens.
In Jammu District, a special van reached Panchayat Panjtoot of Block Samwan. Ex-MLA Krishan Lal, Sarpanch Samwan Jagdish Raj, and Block Development Officer Ajay Kumar Pandita welcomed the VBSY Van amid a warm reception by the Swagat Committee and PRI Members.
The van aimed to spread Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of making India a developed nation by 2047, featuring a video message encouraging people to pledge for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra made a notable entry into the picturesque tourist destination of Pahalgam, Anantnag District.
ADC Anantnag, Sandeep Singh Bali, actively engaged with local residents, evaluating the progress of various central government schemes.
Thousands of participants commended the effective implementation of flagship schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Samman Nidhi, vividly showcased through impactful events such as ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zabani’ sessions.
In Kathua District, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continued its mission in bringing about positive change in the lives of citizens across various areas. Impactful events and awareness campaigns in Panchayats Kathera, Kharote, Logate, Mehtabpur, Sialna, Tharakalwal B, Tharakalwal, and Aglidhar underlined the Yatra’s commitment to reaching every corner of the nation.
In these blocks, the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans effectively disseminated information, fostering awareness and interaction on critical issues.
