GDC Marh hosts Alumini Meet ‘Sangam II’ 2023

JAMMU, Dec 28: IQAC, Govt. Degree College Marh today organised Alumini Meet ‘SangamII 2023’ under the leadership and supervision of the Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Koul.
The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp by Surinder Kumar (BDC Marh), Manu Hansa (SDM Marh), Dr. Jyoti Bhau (BMO Marh), Kasturi Lal Kaith (ZEO Marh), Prof. (Dr). Jasbir Singh (SKUAST), Amit Raina (Advocate J&K High Court), Atul Narayan Singh (President Alumni Assoc.) and staff members of the college.
All the guests were felicitated by Mementos and Planters. Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul in his keynote address welcomed the guests and wished the alumni all the success for their future endeavours and explained to them about the importance of reunification.
Prof. Madhvi Parasher presented the brief report on profile of the college and highlighted the curricular and co-curricular activities organised in the college and the progress made in last one year including registration of Alumni in the Registrar Cooperatives, opening of bank account GDCMAA, UGC 2(f), Maiden Diksha aramb, Nipun (Scouts & Guide), maiden SSRB exam.
A powerpoint presentation highlighting achievements of different cells and departments of the college was also showcased to the audience. A Cultural programme featuring patriotic songs, folk dance and singing was also presented by the Ist, and 3rd semester students of the College on this occasion. The Alumnus shared their past experiences at the College and were felicitated by Mementos. The alumni meet ended with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Ramdayal. Plantation drive was also carried out by the NSS unit in the college campus.
The whole programme was organised and coordinated by the members of IQAC and Cultural Committee, GDC Marh.
Principal of the college appreciated and lauded the efforts of faculty and students. Lunch was served to the dignitaries, alumni, participants and students of the college.
