POONCH, Dec 29: J&K National Conference president for Pir Panjal Range and former MLA Javed Ahmed Rana today stressed for restoring confidence among people of Pir Panjal region by the Government.
Rana paid visit to the families of persons killed under mysterious circumstances after being picked up by the security forces. After reaching Bufliaz he went straight to the residences of victim families along with the party workers.
While expressing shock and grief over the unfortunate incident former MLA condoled the deaths condemning the occurrence of such incidents in a democratic set up. Conveying his sympathies to the family members of the deceased persons, he assured them that National Conference stands fully in solidarity with them in this hour of deep crisis.
Later talking to media NC leader said that it is the people of this Pir Panjal region who fought standing shoulder to shoulder against the Pak intruders in 1947-48 having full faith in the Indian democratic system. He said that the fight against the enemy across the border is a common fight of the people and the security forces. He said that this war cannot witness success without winning the confidence of the people of the region.
Assuring that people of the region will fully cooperate with the security forces and the nation, he urged the Govt to immediately restore the trust and confidence of the people by providing strict punishment to those responsible for this gruesome crime.
