SAMBA, Dec 30: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh chaired crime review meeting at District Police Headquarters, here, today and advised officers to take stern legal action against harbourers, aiders and abettors of hardcore criminals involved in heinous crimes in Samba district.
Crime review meeting was attended by Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary, ASP Bari Brahmana, Mukund Tibrewal, Deputy SP DAR, Surinder Mohan, DySP, Hqrs Bhishm Dubey, SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar, Deputy SP operations, Garu Ram, all SHOs, and all in charges of police posts (PPs) of the district.
SSP Samba directed all SDPOs, SHOs and in charge police posts to keep drug menace issue on top priority to deal with and intimate anti-narcotic work done progress report to District Police Headquarters on daily basis. SSP issued directions to all officers to free their areas of responsibility from narco- business as soon as possible and put behind bars all those involved in illegal drug smuggling and supplying and their aiders, abettors and harbourers.
SSP Samba further directed that all murder cases, attempt to murder, rape, robbery, dacoity, theft, extortion and other cases be worked out and brought to logical conclusion at the earliest without inordinate delay. He said that “Police officers and officials should feel proud of themselves while personally taking part and fighting legal battles in the courts of law”.
