JAMMU, Dec 31: Districts across Jammu and Kashmir have been witnessing an unprecedented wave of development under the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) as the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) vans have been spreading the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a developed nation by 2047.
As part of the campaign, Commissioner Food and Drugs Administration, J&K, Shakeel UI Rehman Rather, spearheaded the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Panchayat Chinote, Bhaderwah.
Hosted at the PWD (R&B) Dak Bungalow, the event attracted not only high-ranking officials but also featured a diverse array of engaging activities.
The Yatra commenced with a welcome address, setting the tone for the proceedings. A special message from the Prime Minister resonated through the venue, underscoring the need for collaborative efforts in achieving holistic growth.
A pivotal moment occurred during the Sankalp Pledge, where attendees collectively affirmed their dedication to the cause of regional development.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) gained momentum in Rajouri as well as the IEC van travelled through various panchayats. Covering Darhal, Thanamandi, Manjakote, Plangarh, and Budhal Old blocks, the initiative aims to transform Rajouri by effectively implementing Government programs in underserved areas.
Pulwama District celebrated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra with Jashan Chilla-i-Kalan at the Administrative Complex Pulwama.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, and other officials highlighted the importance of preserving cultural roots, marking a significant cultural landmark in the district.
The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) extended the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by hosting events in two new locations within the SMC jurisdiction – Hamdaniya Colony and Allochi Bagh.
The gatherings provided a platform for officers and officials to interact with the local community, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Anantnag surpassed expectations, bringing together over 2.50 lakh participants across 335 Gram Panchayats and 138 Urban local bodies.
Traversing 16 diverse blocks and 10 municipalities, the Yatra showcases tangible improvements, creating a shared narrative of progress and inclusivity resonating throughout District Anantnag.
In Kishtwar District, the yatra marked a significant strider as the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van traversed through a series of pivotal locations encompassing Poochal, Bhanderkoot, Thakrie, and Anjole areas of district Kishtwar.
The primary objective of this extensive movement was to disseminate vital information and raise awareness about critical Central Sector Schemes (CSS) through recorded message of Prime Minister of India.
The IEC Van’s journey saw enthusiastic participation from the community, with the active involvement of prominent persons and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) along its route.
