JAMMU, Dec 31: Vibodh Gupta, BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC, strongly condemned the recent statements of former Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah. Addressing a meeting at Roop Nagar near here, today Gupta asserted that Abdullah’s remarks were not only instigating and seditious but also aimed at creating division between communities in the Rajouri-Poonch area.
He highlighted Abdullah’s alarming comments about ‘serving food to terrorists,’ stating that such rhetoric has instilled fear among the people, indirectly discouraging support for security forces engaged in counter-terrorism efforts. He emphasised that the statements made by (NC) leaders are designed to terrorize the common people of J&K, contributing to an ecosystem that seeks to disrupt the peace in the UT.
Vibodh Gupta expressed confidence in the resolve of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, stating, “The people stand together against opportunistic leaders with the resolve of not letting anyone disturb the peace in the UT again and overwhelmingly support the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi s vision of new J&K marked by development, peace and prosperity.”
Speaking on the occasion district president, Omi Khajuria, said that the transformative policies and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the nation under the BJP Government have significantly contributed to the progress and development of the country.
BJP spokesperson Abhinav Sharma stated, “The BJP Government’s dedication to good governance and transparent policies has set a benchmark for effective administration. The commitment to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ is evident in the inclusive development agenda pursued by the Government.” He further asserted that the Prime Minister, Modi’s visionary leadership has brought about positive changes across various sectors, ensuring inclusive growth and prosperity for all.
Rajesh Thappa, convener BJP Legal Cell praised the Government’s proactive approach in implementing people-centric initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of millions.
Shiv Dev Singh, Senior leader of the party, said, “The leadership of Prime Minister has been instrumental in fostering a sense of pride and unity among the citizens”.
