JAMMU, Jan 1: A delegation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by Roshan Lal Raina president Sector-01 and Sector-03 and Sanjay Ganjoo, president Durganagar Sector-02 and its extension besides, Bihari Lal Raina general secretary, Welfare Committee Sector-01 met PHE authorities regarding the ongoing water scarcity and construction of new tube well.
First the delegation met Executive Engineer, City Division, PHE Civil Jammu and informed him that enough of time has passed but work of new sanctioned Tube well has not started as yet for which funds and land has already been allotted due to which some areas are facing Water scarcity.
After threadbare discussion Executive Engineer Civil assured that drilling process shall commence soon.
Later the delegation met Executive Engineer, Ground Water and highlighted the issue with him and he gave assurance that the Department is on the job and they are arranging Machine to start the drilling process which is presently on drilling process at Kathua.
The presidents impressed the Executive Engineer Ground Water to ensure early shifting of the machine from Kathua.
