KISHTWAR, Jan 1: A residential house along with household items worth lakhs were damaged here today in a devastating fire at Sangram Bhata area.
As per reports all of a sudden flames started coming out from the house of one Raj Kumar, son of Paras Ram, resident of Harijan Basti, Sangram Bhata in Kishtwar. On getting information about the fire incident, locals of the area swung into action and also called Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
With joint efforts of locals, Fire and Emergency Services Department and volunteers of Red Cross, fire was brought under the control but by then the building and the household items kept there including various valuable items purchased for the marriage of the daughter were badly damaged.
Cause of the fire was not known till last reports and there was no life loss or injury to anyone in the incident of fire.
