SP South asks traders to install CCTVs

JAMMU, Jan 2: SP City South Shaheen Wahid along with SDPO City South, SHO PS Gandhi Nagar and I/C PP Nehru Market conducted a police public meeting today with Traders Federation Ware house, Nehru Market Jammu & various Union Heads of Transporters. Various traders, transporters and other prominent persons participated in the meeting.
A threadbare discussion took place regarding drugs, theft cases and other related issues. SP City South Jammu also briefed them to inform the nearby PS/ PP if any information regarding drug trafficking is received to them. Other important issues discussed were regarding poor conditions of roads, theft cases, employment of the local youths etc.
During the meeting, Traders Federation Ware House was advised to aware the drivers that no unattended material be left in their vehicles, as it would pose threat to the precious lives of commuters. They were also made aware about the likely threats of sticky bombs and should advise not to leave their vehicles unattended.
SP City South Jammu appealed the Traders Federation Ware house, Nehru Market Jammu to install CCTV Cameras in their business establishment and depute watchmen at night so that a greater vigil can be maintain over the suspicious movements/objects.
SP City South Jammu flanked by SDPO City South Jammu, SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar and I/C PP Nehru Market gave a patient hearing to the public and assured them of addressing the genuine demands in shortest possible time. Also people were encouraged to come forward in sharing information related to crime in their area.
