ANTF apprehends two drug peddlers

JAMMU, Jan 3: Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) today claimed to have apprehended two drug peddlers with commercial quantity of drugs.
Irfan Latief Kohli of Azad Colony, Sunjwan, and Naveen Gupta of Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, were arrested with 68 bottles of O-Qurex-T Codeine based cough syrup from Kalu Chak area near Purmandal Morh, an ANTF spokesperson said.
He said that the accused were travelling in a car when a trap laid by Inspector Sanjeet Sharma along with team of ANTF Jammu under the guidance of Shamsher Singh, DySP, SHO Police Station ANTF Jammu and overall supervision of SSP ANTF J&K, Raj Kumar, proved successful in arresting the duo.
The accused have been booked in case FIR number 1/2024 Under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station ANTF Jammu and further investigation set into motion.
Meanwhile, the ANTF has appealed the general public particularly the youth to stay away from drugs and to share information about drug related activities in their area.
