Baisakhi Premier League T20 Cricket Tourney MLCC registers 8 runs victory over SCC

JAMMU, Mar 29: Mohan Lal Cricket Club (MLCC) registered 8 runs victory over its opponent Satwari Cricket Club (SCC) and sailed into the next round of the ongoing Baisakhi Premier League T20 Cricket Tourney organised by YWA, Simbal in association with Diamond Cricket Club at Boys High School, Simbal.
Batting first, after winning the toss, MLCC set a target of 116 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Biku scored highest 33 runs while Roni and Kaka also chipped in 22 and 20 runs respectively to the total.
For SCC side, Aman was the chief wrecker, who claimed 3 wickets by conceding just 16 runs in his 4 overs spell while Narotam and Hushiar Singh also scalped 2 wickets each. Rohit and Rajesh pocketed one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, SCC played well but failed to chase the target and bundled out at 108 runs for all out in 20 overs. Ashu played well and thrashed some crispy shots in his 54 runs while Dheeraj and Hushiar Singh also chipped in 16 and 10 runs respectively.
For MLCC side, Mohan Lal was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 3 wickets by giving just 9 runs in his 4 overs spell while Somy and Roni claimed 2 wickets apiece. Murli also pocketed one wicket.
Mohan Lal of MLCC was declared as man of the match for picking up 3 wickets.
The match was officiated by Gurmeet Singh and Kulbir Singh Kali as umpires while Pankaj Soodan maintained the scorecard.
