JAMMU, Jan 4: The eight weeks long general training course for Secretarial Staff of University of Jammu, organised by UGC- Madanmohan Malvia Mission Teachers Training Centre and sponsored by Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), concluded here today.
Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof Umesh Rai was chief guest in the valedictory function and expressed satisfaction over the different aspects that were covered by eminent experts in this course.
A comprehensive report on eight weeks training was presented by Dr Amit Kumar Sharma, the Course Coordinator. He informed that during the training programme, Secretarial cadre employees of the University were exposed, trained and sensitized towards Service, Conduct, University Calendar and Financial rules including GFR-17, GEM Portal etc.
Prof Rahul Gupta, Registrar, JU, complimented the UGC- MMTTC in General and Course Coordinator Dr Amit Kumar Sharma in particular for the extraordinary contribution in the organization. He advised that such trainings should now be a regular feature and all employees including officers should undergo such trainings to keep them abreast to the latest, that would lead to progress of the University amidst fast changing administrative and financial codes.
Earlier Prof S K Pandita, Director, MMTTC highlighted the importance of the course vis a vis its practical usages in the day to day working of the Secretarial staff of JU.
Prof Parmil Kumar, HoD Statistics, University of Jammu, in his address, expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the course and appreciated the efforts of the organisers. Sourav, Unus and Deepak delivered brief speeches as part of the customary participants’ feedback.
Ranjeet Kalra, Teaching faculty MMTTC presented the outcome of the two months training programme and ended the proceedings with a formal vote of thanks. The proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Komal Bakshi and those present on the occasion included Dr V K Shivgotra, Vinay Thusoo (Media Head JU), Abhinandan Khajuria (Asst Registrar Asam), Rakesh Chib, President -NTEU and Pankaj Gupta, General Secretary NTEU.
