UDHAMPUR, Jan 5: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today presided over a significant meeting in the Mini Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to approve the proposed Scale of Finance for Agriculture, Horticulture, and allied sectors for the financial year 2024-25.
Detailed deliberations took place on various aspects of each sector, focusing on the proposed Scale of Finance aligned with the cost of cultivation. The discussion encompassed Kisan Credit Card (KCC) crops, including Horticulture Crops, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Sericulture, and Floriculture activities in District Udhampur.
The DC emphasized the need to increase the scale of finance, highlighting that setting financial parameters for agricultural and allied activities would facilitate farmers in the district to leverage various forms of free credit effortlessly. The DC underscored the importance of active participation from all stakeholders in determining accurate scales of finance, stressing the necessity of precise field data.
Additionally, she urged close coordination among stakeholders to ensure the timely and adequate flow of credit to farmers.
