JAMMU, Jan 6: Dr Shaktidhar Sharma, an eminent homoeopathic physician from Jammu, was awarded with ‘Homoeo Vibhushan’ award at Homoeo Revolution Summit in Lucknow.
The Award was presented to Dr Shaktidhar Sharma by cricketing legends of duo, Kapil Dev and Madan Lal Sharma. Dr Sharma, who is an icon of young homoeopaths, received appreciation by the cricketing legends for his service to the humanity and exemplary work for upliftment of homoeopathic science.
Son of the soil, Dr Shaktidhar is recipient of many medical awards and known for his exclusive style of practice. He frequently organizes free medical camps for the poor and economically weak people. He visits Ved Mandir dispensary weekly to give free consultation to the orphan children.
Speaking to this correspondent, Dr Shaktidhar told that he is planning more medical camps this year for poor people in which free medicines will be provided to the needy. Regarding upcoming homeopathic college in Jammu and Kashmir, he said this move is praiseworthy as this will give the people of J&K greater access to homoeopathic system of medicines.
