JAMMU, Jan 6: Police in this District claimed today they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 25 grams of heroin-like-substance from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that during naka checking at Sikanderpur Kothey, Bishnah, one person was spotted moving under suspicious circumstances.
“He was signalled to stop but he didn’t. Accordingly, he was apprehended by the alert naka team and during his personal search, 25 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered,” said the police spokesperson.
Police have identified the accused as Mohammad Bika alias Bikka Gujjer of Sikanderpur Kothey, Bishnah, who has been arrested and booked in case FIR number 02/24 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
The arrest was made by Inspector Abid Bukhari, SHO Bishnah, under the supervision of Nikhil Gogna, SDPO RS Pura while as the whole operation was conducted under the guidance of Ramnish Gupta, SP Headquarters Jammu.
