UDHAMPUR, Jan 8: The dead body of a 22-year-old girl was found hanging today from a wooden log on the roof of her ‘kuccha’ house in village Rasli Thakrai of tehsil Basantgarh.
As per police reports, the dead body of the girl identified as Kamla Devi daughter of late Shanu of village Rasli Thakrai was found hanging with the help of a ‘dupatta’ and the body was first noticed by the family members who immediately called Ramnage Police.
On reaching the spot, the Police team shifted the body to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar, where after postmortem and other legal formalities, the body was handed over to the deceased’s family members for last rites.
Inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at Police Station Ramnagar.
