RAJOURI, Jan 8: The police has recovered a consignment of cement which is not meant for retail sale in Nowshera Sub Division of Rajouri district today.
A police spokesman said that a team of police officials from Nowshera Police Station led by SHO raided a location at Chowki village of Nowshera in the house of a local person namely- Sourabh Chandan, son of Bodh Raj, resident of Chowki.
During the raid, police seized twenty (20) bags of cement, not meant for retail sale. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 04/2024 Under Sections 409, 109 IPC has been registered in Police Station Nowshera and further investigation is going on.
The accused namely Sourabh Chandan, son of Bod Raj of Chowki village has been arrested in the instant case. There is likelihood of more arrests as the investigation proceeds further to some logical conclusion, the police said.
