EJAC delegation calls on CS, projects demands

JAMMU, Jan 8: A delegation of J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-R), called on Chief Secretary, of J&K UT, Attal Dulloo here today and projected their demands.
Led by Babu Hussain Malik, president of the EJAC and accompanied by other senior leaders-Yashpal Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Darshan Magotra, Meenakshi Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Surinder Radotra, Manish Sharma and others, the trade union leaders strongly projected the issues of the Government employees from various departments.
The EJAC-R delegation, also submitted a memorandum with charter of demands to the Chief Secretary, seeking prompt and sympathetic action.
They demanded enhancement of Medical allowance of the employees from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, restoration of Old Pension Scheme in the Jammu and Kashmir, regularization of all the daily wagers/ casual labourers/contractual employees, Home Guards, REK, REJ, Anganwadi workers/ helpers, Asha workers etc.
They further demanded removal of pay anomalies in the clerical cadre/ amendment in SRO-333 of 2018, national benefit with effect from Jan 1996 and restoration of two additional increments on clearing Secretariat Assistant course.
They also demanded holding of DPC of the cadre after every six months, creation of one separate department of Clerical cadre having common seniority on the pattern of Accounts/ Planning cadre, prompt disposal of long pending SRO-43 cases, regularization of land donor cases and release of their pending wages and timely release of GP Fund/Gratuity/leave salary/ maturity payments etc of the recently retired/other employees.
